Rich Life Marketing
By Patricia Morrison

As Meredith Liepelt of Rich Life Marketing was packing the moving van that would carry her family’s belongings from Washington, D.C. to Columbus, she received a fateful call from her mother.  Meredith’s father was sick and needed to have his appendix removed.

Meredith was extremely concerned as she, her husband and 20 month old daughter continued their move.    After the move to Dublin, Meredith traveled frequently to Virginia to assist her mother and father, as her father’s health continued to fail.  His final prognosis was a rare form of cancer.

These months were a difficult time for Meredith.  “I wasn’t feeling well, I was incredibly sad and shocked about my dad’s diagnosis, I knew no one here who I could call on for support, and was living half in Ohio and half in Virginia while running my business, searching for a house and caring for my toddler.”

Things in Meredith’s life didn’t get better quickly.  Her father died a year and three months after her move.  Following his death, she was exhausted and unsure of how to continue her business.

“Business was good.  I had Amazon.com and other national distribution outlets asking to sell my products.  I just didn’t have my feet beneath me.  So I hired a life and business coach … and ultimately I sold my business to a competitor in New England.  Her business is still around and doing well,” Meredith said.

Marketing always fascinated Meredith.  In college, she asked a professor for permission to take his class without credit just to learn more about public relations. “He looked at me like I had three heads,” Meredith said, “He was so surprised that I really just wanted to learn.”

This passion carried was evident in Meredith’s first business.  While she owned it, people nationwide contacted her asking how she marketed her company to receive such widespread attention.

Meredith renewed this early passion for business and marketing and started Rich Life Marketing.  It was the fresh step she needed to move forward.  Previous success in marketing and networking are two of the reasons she was able to open Rich Life Marketing two and a half years ago and turn a profit from day one.

Meredith serves small business owners, who are interested in getting more visibility, or “raising their celebrity profile.”

“Raise Your Celebrity Profile is a phrase I coined, and it’s really caught on,” Meredith said.  “It’s about helping business owners to become much more visible through setting a clear strategy to create more credibility and maximize their status as an authority.”

Meredith raises celebrity profiles through services including private and group coaching, day-long private retreats, teleseminars and informational products.  She’s considering producing a live event in the coming months.
