Although Jeff has encountered many challenges in his life due to his lack of sight, he has never let it stop him from doing what he has set his mind to do, or living his life as anyone with vision would live his or hers.

When the flood hit Findlay, Ohio, in August of 2007, many business owners in downtown Findlay were unprepared for what was to come. As Doris Schumacher, owner of DorAnne’s Gifts & Gourmet, explained, she was told that the flooding never reached that far. Shockingly, on August 22nd, Doris saw downtown Findlay on television the morning after the flood and knew she was in trouble.
